Sexing tarantulas

Messed Up On post, heres the Question

Iv heard that female tarantulas Shed there fangs after they molt.
Iv also heard male tarantulas have pal pals.
Ok well My Tarantula has pal pals & it also Sheds its fangs after it molts.
Whats the deal do i have a tarantula of both Sex?

Um what are pal pals? Both sexes shed their entire exoskeleton when they molt, including their fangs.

"pal pals" is probably supposed to read "pedipalps"

And both sexes have pedipalps

Oh ok, yeah I think I see what he means. You just got some bad sexing advice is all. You will see swollen "pal pals" in adult males, most refer to them as looking like boxing gloves. Since you have a molt you should be able to have it sexed fairly easily.

Yes, both sexes have pedipalps and shed their fangs.

Here is my mature male G rosea. He has had his ultimate molt so he is sexualy mature. You can see the 'hooks' on his first pair of legs (circled in red)
and the swollen ends of his pedipalps 'bulbs' (circled in blue)
A mature female won't have either of these. Until the tarantula is mature you would have to check the inside of it's molt to be 100% sure of what sex it is.

Ok well my tarantula has "hooks" that you Showed in the picture Circled in red.
also another Question.
does male & female tarantulas Shed there fangs in there molt

All spiders shed their fangs in their moult. You've been given some REALLY bad sexing advice lol
