Hello, im new to having any type of arac. or any tank pet for that matter.

i saved this little guy(or girl) from a local store who has been there for a month or so,
they seemed very stressed being kept communaly under heat lamps with fake grass and no hides and having crickets thrown in every so often. so i decided to save them.

they said it was an emporor but from research they look way more like a Heterometrus spinifer or Heterometrus petersii? also no idea on gender.. help? any pics needed can be provided 20190216_014419[1].jpg IMG_20190215_173008_271[1].jpg

It’s a Heterometrus species. In order to sex it we need to see the pectines, which are the pair of feather like appendages on the scorpion’s underside.
