These are my first New World spiders (I don't count Psalmopoeus as NW since they're selenocosmiines) so I have no idea. Please tell me what you think :)

What's with its booklung? The spider is acting fine, but I've put it in an ICU.

Thanks in advance.

What species? Female, male, female, male. (I can't tell if you have pics of 4 spiders or two pictures of 2 spiders. lol)

I don't think that ICU will help that booklung much - it was a problem from molting. It won't heal until she molts again, and may not heal completely in one molt. Just feed her fairly lightly so that you don't cause er to have undue stress on the area.

Woot - exactly what I thought! They're Brachypelma vagans, and are about 2"+ (I don't really know why I got them; the urticating hairs are already being a pain!).

Do you think it looks like a tumor of some sort? It does look that way to me. In the picture you can see where the surface of the booklung split as the lump of tissue appears to be pushing its way out.

Thanks for the help! :)

No, I do not believe that it is a tumor. I think it is an injury, ulcer, or something similar. Maybe it was the result of a bad molt.
