So I've read that we happen to have our very own native species to the Pacific Northwest, but has anyone seen them close to the Portland Vancouver area? I know there's been plenty of sightings near eastern Washington, but there's not much info out there about them being in Vancouver or Portland.

I believe Uroctonus mordax may be the scorpion you are referencing.

I'll add that if you drive over the mountain they are much more prevalent. When I used to go over quite often I wold find Paruroctonus boreus quite easily.

I live just outside Vancouver and the only native species I've heard of is Paruroctonus Boreus. Apparently you can find them in the Okanagan. I don't keep any of them. Too wet and cold in the lower mainland where I live for them though. I imagine Portland would be the same.

Awesome! In what areas? I imagine they'd all be hibernating around this time of year.
