Has anyone ever tried housing a forest scorpion with millipedes? For example, Ophistothalmus spp. with some tropical millipede? It seems tropical/forest scorpions would encounter millipedes in the wild, but I'm not sure how the encounter would turn out. Would the scorpion ignore the millipede since it's too tough to eat? Would the millipede kill the scorpion with its defensive chemicals?

I'm not sure if it depends on species but I've seen some videos were scorpions and millipedes are put together and it aint pretty. Worst part is, the millipede wins. So unless you want them to fight I wouldn't reccommend it

Not to be mean, but are you confusing millipede with centipede? I know my friends always get them confused. I've never seen a millipede fight, they usually just release their defensive chemicals.

I saw a show on Nat Geo Wild where a Hadogenes sp. was filmed hunting, killing, and eating multiple millipedes.

Pandinus imperator includes millipedes in it's diet. I am sure that other large-clawed species will as well. I would research specific species to see if they would be compatible. Some of the Centruroides species could be compatible.

I see. That makes sense, since both can be found in the same microhabitat.
