No scorpion breeding projects yet.

But up for acquiring surplus. Especially when I make a financial recovery from X-mas spending.

Some from Oz have. Unfortunately there arent very many Aussie scorp enthusiasts here. If you need info, contact Mark Newton. He is the expert from Oz.

Sorry to hijack this thread a little but I don't think its worth making a new one for this question.

I'd like to breed my emperor and am thinking of getting a female to do so. My current tank is only 9" deep by 18" wide and 10" high, would this be ok of a size for a pair of near fully grown emps?

Would I have to remove the male once she is pregnant?

My female emp have babies on her back and there's a male with her. I never see him bother her.

I will be focusing alot on this undescribed Centruroides sp. There are both dark and pale morphs in each batch of young. I plan to breed pale with pale and dark with dark after these are mature.

That looks an interesting scorp Brian. What is the ratio of Pale to Dark in a brood?

Probably no more than 1/8 of them are pale and to make it worse is the fact that the pale colored scorps seem to be less strong as many will die. I have 3 set back from the last brood and will save all these for myself as well. I am hoping to get a good line of both morphs going in the future and they will become available for all.
