I am curious if anyone has set up an IR camera to view/record their scorpions behavior at night while sleeping.

Animal is: Messenger_creation_D033B439-A3C4-4B4E-8941-1BA9523B1706.jpeg
(Asian Forest Scorpion) 🦂

Second, I hear mixed info on Scorppions reacting to IR light. (Not red heat bulbs) but invisible IR 940 nm (ish) light.

I am wanting to be able to watch (live video) and save video for my wife to watch her Scorpion.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Messenger_creation_D033B439-A3C4-4B4E-8941-1BA9523B1706.jpeg

No never but they will do some creeping around, attempt to scale the walls of their enclosure, sit still, and eventually retire back to a hiding place. They may do this only once or multple times length of times variable each night.

Did you look up their spectral sensitivity from a scientific article?

Any suggestion on a camera?

Can you lead me to a good article?

I know this, I'm looking more for info on setting up a camera and if the IR will interfere too much. I don't plan on having it on every night, just once a week or so.
