Curious what you all used for substrate for your Scorpio maurus. Sand or soil mixture or maybe some other mixture. Ive read people using both. Curious which people think is better?

I have my Scorpio maurus palmatus on a sand/clay mixture with some stones.
I chose that because of these pictures that show their natural habitat.

I happen to own the species as shown in picture 'D'.
They like to burrow, so a sand/clay mix does well, they need a few inches of it.
This species are known to be able to dig straight down and make a cork screw shaped tunnel.
Nice scorpion to look at, mine only eats in total darkness.
I've never seen it attack any of the crickets i offer, but the cricket is gone every time the next morning.

Can I keep them communally?
I tried once - 6 in a 4 foot tank with deep substrate, lost a couple, but as they are wild caught and have a relatively short life span - who knows - I didn't witness any real aggression ,only the odd tussle when they bumped into one another out on patrol.
