scorp hunting in florida

I am heading to Kissimmee, Florida (near Orlando) in a couple weeks and was wondering if anyone knows of a good place to go out at night for a couple hours and hunt for some scorpions with my son. Any help is appreciated...

Have you invested in a black light yet? Other than that, I've never been to Florida

As you probably know, Centruroides hentzi and C. gracilis are the first scorpions that live there that come to my mind. Have fun!

pull the bark off of dead pine trees, you will almost definitely find one on the pieces that you pull off. Be careful though, their sting is not pleasant.
