I have two Scolopendra.
One is S. mutilans, which I bought in November 2019 as a tiny CB pedeling, and is now about 5 or 6 inches in length.
The other is a S. dehaani Giant Laos, again a CB pedeling which is about 2 inches long. I received this one a few days ago.
The dehaani is WAY faster than the mutilans.
My question is, is dehaani a faster species than mutilans?

Centipedes are all fast. What you are probably experiencing is difference in temperament. Your dehaani may be more skittish.

Thankyou.

I am well aware that they are fast, just wondered if different species are quicker than others. Difference in individual temperament wasn't something I had considered, so that's really helpful.
Fascinating animals!
