Just thought I'd share this pic as I thought it was quite good. It's only just started feeding after staying buried underground for over three months without eating anything!

I got it as S.sp. Barbados - any ideas what the species might be?

Cheers,

ant.

I've got that too except a little greener and I've been told it's very hard to tell but you can get the general area. I'm not sure at all but this is what I've been told so yours is not far away.

Scolopendra subspinipes (St. Barth, Barbados or Vanuatu)

Those centipedes look great, they're amongst the best looking subspinipes that i've seen... i LOVE mine :).

I have 3 of these as well, reared from pedelings purchased back in August 2006, looking superb now & very healthy, mine dont seem to burrow much, but I find keeping them in shallow compressed compost in smaller containers works well, & they feed superbly, mine are the darker yellow variety as depicted in the first post in this thread, & I have to say I can highly recommend this species to any potential Scolopendra enthusiast.
