Scolopendra cingulata feeding on leech

I caught a giant leech the other night,and what do you do with a leech....feed it to your ever so hungry centipede. The leech when streched out was as long (or a bit longer) as the centipede. It was quite a struggle, and the venom wasn't very effective,which I have noticed is also the case when feeding earthworms......they fight for a looong time!!

It's exactly like my dreams, except the combatants are hundreds of feet long there. :D

Very cool pics, interesting choice of feeder. :clap: I wonder why the venom seems less effective as you say....

Yeah, that's pretty different. I've never tried to feed my pedes anything like that. Is that a terrestrial leech? The biggest ones I see around here in Texas are aquatic, I usually see them on turtles.

very nice lol...i haven't seen leeches used as feeders for anything other then frogs...
