Hi guys,

Thanks for the help in advance!

I'm going to get a Dehaani but one thing I'm struggling to get info on is size difference between variations.

I've been looking at:
1 - Giant Vietnamese
2 - Indo Cherry Red

Do these 2 variations grow to different sizes? Most videos the giant viet ones seem bigger than the cherry red. Quite a bit bigger too!

They both look awesome and honestly I might just get both, but the idea of handling 2 Dehaani and getting them warmed to me seems a little scary haha. The florida keys has been a hit of a menace as it is.

I certainly wouldnt ever handle mine.

In regards to size i think the vietnamese ones do get larger, but a lot will depend on your care.
I don't think there is a max-size per'se, but depending on how well you keep them and how long they live they my reach a larger size over time.

Thanks mate, If they are roughly the same size, I think the Cherry Red one would be my preference.

And in regards to handling, I get it - but I handle my others with no issues apart from one being a little skittish, I enjoy holding them and the way I see it, if it wont kill me then I'm alright with the consequences.

The venom is a very convincing reason to avoid contact, but i also want them to feel safe in case i want to breed them in the future.

Constantly ripping the hide off and desensitizing them to disturbances and handling doesn't really help with that.

So while i understand there can be a certain thrill to it, its not for me.

Mhhh… a dehaani is way faster and willing to bite. The bite must be seriously taken and tremendously painful.

i
would
not
There are various videos of people that have been stung by bad insects crying like babies after they took a bite.

i got bitten onceby a cingulata, that was just a cute pinch, i know where you‘re comming from but this is not a joke.

Not to mention there might be lasting effects, venoms should not be taken lightly just because they are unlikely to kill you
