Scientific name meanings

Well today I had a sudden interest in the meanings of many scorpions scientific names. At the moment all I remember is; Crassicauda - Fat Tail let's get some more on the list please :p

That would be nice info to have, but I can't contribute any at this time.
I do recall, while on the ATS website, there was a 2 part download on the pronunciation of many T species. Gave language origin ( Latin, Greek and others) and what each meant. I.e. Brachypelma is Greek, short + (sole of) foot ; vagans is Latin, wanderer. Would be great if one was done for scorpions.

I think Androctonus Australis translates to something like southern man killer.
