So, today, I decided to intervene, at least a bit more so than usual. There were at least three small little spiders that had made their home in between a tire/rim on a car that would most certainly be washed rather soon.

Paper didn't get in there well enough, so I braved the situation with a pocket screwdriver and thankfully didn't squish any of them. One couldn't stand to be on my hand and made many a leap before I could get it outside.

I'm fairly certain they were all male L. hesperus. At least the pattern on the abdomen matches and one even had emboli. That one was 0.75" DLS. Now, I'm not entirely sure how small male L. hesperus are so I could be very wrong but they looked exactly like one...

In any event, I was just happy to give them a bit more of a fighting chance rather than certain doom.
