was wondering what type of substrate is most ideal for Sicariidae/Six Eyed Sand spiders? obviously sand is involved but I’m moreso curious about the total layout of the enclosure - should there be a side for loose sand and a side for more hard clay like substrate? should it be 100% loose sand? what type of sand is best?

100% sand (any sands) will do, with a piece of cork bark, where it can hold onto it while it molts.

could you go more in-depth about their molting? like do they position themselves on top of the cork bark?

I think below video clip link will explain itself. It’s the video by @basin79.

This case it latched itself on the top, but it would also latch itself on side of a cork bark, and molt it.

I've used various types of sand with different individuals of all ages, and have found that it absolutely does not matter what type or color of sand you use.
