Can I put one of those "fake rock" water dishes in the top rack of the dishwasher, and not worry about detergent residue affecting my T.
(I mean if it's ok for humans drinking glasses I'd think it should be ok for my T?) I guess I could rinse it after with bottled water to be sure.

Normally I just wipe the debris out of the dish and refill, but today I noticed a slight slickness in the bottom of the water dish (yech) , I wiped the stuff off, but thought I'd better do a proper job of it, so I swapped out dishes, and am thinking of using the dishwasher to really get it clean.

What do you usually do when it comes to water dish maintenance?

To clean my T dishes, I get a green scrub pad and very hot water. I use only a few drops of soap and scrub a lot. They get clean and stay that way.

rinse and clean like regular dishes and when your done just give it an extra rinse. if people recomend some dish soap and water if there are issues with a molt then I dont think that its gonna really hurt them if you wash with the same soap
