You know, for a lot of reasons, I actually think that's pretty brilliant.
It would make cleaning the roach enclosure pretty easy (just lift out the motel to get most of them) and it creates a lot of surface space.
I'm going to have to think about this for mine.
By the way I'm new here..... first post on this forum.

Hmmm...kinda looks like the place I took my last vacation - they had roaches too!

Cute yeah, but I think it might get a little problematic after a while. If the ventilation is bad the floors will start sagging from the moisture that comes from the poo and it might start to smell a bit more than nessessary. I'd also build them a table (out of a sheet of plastic) where they can eat dinner every day but on the floor they're already on.
