What the...?

Okay, so someone in my home gave water to my vinegaroon in a new dish without my knowledge. Sometime last night, the little fella gets stuck in there and drowns. So my wife pulls the stiff little corpse out of the water and sets it down on the dirt. STIFF, I tell you. No movement, just...dead?
So an hour later, he's cruising around the tank again.

Reminds me of Mony Python and the Holy Grail...
"He's not dead."
"Well, he's mostly dead."
"How can he be mostly dead?"

Most arachnids and insects can survive awhile while submerged in water. I know that the sydney funnel webs can survive something like a day or 2 submerged in people's pools. It probably just went into something like a hibernation, waiting for the water to evaporate. Just my guess.
