7 years or so ago I remember seeing a picture of an L. parahybana eating a baby chicken. I would like to find this picture again, but can't seem to locate it.

It's not a L. parahybana but I think these are the spiders you are looking for.
You will need to register at BTS to see the pictures (no chicken eating but nice photos)... doesn't cost anything, just make sure you wait for your confirmation email before you go back to browse.

i totally did not post a link to that three posts before yours. definitely not.
thats close to it... but the shot was from a little farther back and a lower angle, and if i recall correctly the spider was being kept on peat/vermiculite mix. Close enough though. This picture was so old, it's probably lost in the depths of the internet forever.
