Rehousing

Hi all...i need to rehouse a 4" H. lividum thats real fast and i dun know wads the best way to do so without an escape....any help is greatly appreciated....thanks

Easy!

Take a 2 liter pop bottle and cut the bottom off. Using this place it over the T and slide something sturdy and flat underneath it to trap it. Then put that in your new house and let the T crawl out on it own time. If your T is burrowed then you may have to dig to get to it. Just have the bottle ready because they are fast, especially if they get scared because their home is being destroyed. That's what I do and I've never had one escape or even a close call. It works like a charm. Sometimes Its also easier if you have another set of hands helping you.;P

Yup "canning " as described above works best. Just make sure you don't hack off a leg in all the excitment. Make sure the " can " or bottle offers enough room inside for some margin of error.

Large coffee cans work too. Just make sure you have removed any sharp edges.
 
Top
