i just got one of these beauties from botar. need to know, how long does it usually take for these guys to start a burrow. any experiences out there? i just gave it a new home on sunday night. how long should i wait before i get concerned? i tried to start one, but she will not give me a chance. quite the agressive species, but very cool.

Hi, I keep quite a few of these guys and i've noticed they build their burrows quicker if you keep the soil pretty moist (not too moist) just make sure you feed him, you can do this by holding the food item in the forceps and tricking it into biting onto the food item, then they'll go ahead and start eating it. This has worked with every one i've had and i've had around 20-30 of them.
Good luck,

what he said is ABSOLUTELY TRUE!! it worked for me completely! and all 3 of mine have burrowed within 36 hrs of being put in their new enclosures.

thank you, i will mist the substrate. she took a cricket already without any coaxing. another question i have, how often do these guys eat? and are they all this agressive? i like it and my sons are really fascinated.
