I would think it still needs some supplemental food, maybe start him by topping his food with meat.I have never been able to get a cat to eat raw meat I offered...thats why i like my dog!! She will eat ANYTHING!!

Somehow I picture your cat carrying the thawed mice to another location, playing with them, and then abandoning them. Probably not something you'd want to discover a few days later. Cats do have a knack for "stashing" prizes and playing with food animals. But I'm sure your cat would appreciate the offerings. A couple years ago a small spotted skunk walked in on me while I was working in my garage. Although I at first tried to get rid of him, I finally gave in, set up a nest box for him, and let him take up residency. He gets a little canned cat food and some dog kibbles - and every once in a while a mouse. He LOVES mice. He'll grab the mouse and carry it to a quiet corner up on the shelf (spotted skunks can climb) and enjoy his treat. The only bad part about this is the wet, crunchy noises he makes while eating the mice - he always starts at the head.

Raw meat i don' believe can just be basic, Wild cats (big and small) will eat the stomach and intestinal content of their prey, i am sure they get some benefit from eating this brooken down vegetation.

I wouldn't use it as its entire diet (least feed it dry kibble a couple days a week? or mix it? or supplement it "with grains, vegetables and fruits, taurine, certain enzymes, and essential fatty acids") and I definitely wouldn't use wild caught (can have worms or parasites, though its a somewhat low risk <my cat catches wild mice and doesn't have any worms/parasites as far as I know, though lately I been wondering>)
But otherwise, raw meat is great, and if you feel so inclined, there is zero reason not to use it. The only thing is you may have difficulty getting it to take it dead (turn off for some cats, they like it warm, and they like to play with it first) and also if you feed whole mice, you will be left with parts (usually the head or lower torso)

We've got four species of skunks around here - striped, spotted, hooded and hog-nosed. The spotted is the smallest (by quite a bit) and the only one that climbs. I've seen my little buddy in the garage on a shelf 6 feet above the floor, and a friend of mine trapped one in his attic. (Fortunately in a live-catch trap, so he was able to release it unharmed.)

good news everyone
he has been taking rat pinkies for the past few days, and seem to be doing very well on that
i also offered him a thawed quail, and he took it too
as everyone expected, he played with the pinky for quite a while, then decided to eat the rest of them in his bowl
and yes i do offer him some undigested greens from the rabbit. He cut it open and ate the greens from the intestine
and by the way, cat's a 6 months old Bengal weighs around 7 pounds

Little guy knows what He's doing :)
Good luck with the Diet Randolf, sounds like it will work out fine (and you'll get rid of all those feral rabbits)
