WC Theraphosa is not an easy Task. The larger (older) the harder.
You need a very large enclosure, a really large water dish, warm temps (low to mid 80's), high ventilation and humidity.
They will need a really large and dark burrow and not to be bother at all. If you get them to molt once, is almost half the battle done...But they can be very stressed.
Non stop climbing and wondering all over the enclosure will ocurr the moment you put them in a smaller cage.
The substrate should be moist but not dump...
By any means, if you can, go with CB.
Thanks for your input. Reason I was asking is because of the huge price despairety...CB spiderlings for around a $100 and a 5" WC female for around $75. Ive always bought CB but have never owned a blondi and kinda want to go with an established adult female.
I'm jealous... Another substrate that retains moisture quite well is peat moss. Put some in a bucket, mix with water and you grab a handfull, squeeze all the water out than pack it in the bottom of the enclosure
