Longer answer: If they weren't hardened then she'd probably still be hiding away post-moult, and she'd probably wouldn't respond.

No you should at least wait till she is feeding. Once she has eaten something then she is ready for a mating attempt.(2-4 weeks depending on size of the T.) Anything before that is putting the T in danger that can be avoided.
as a general rule, i suppose she wouldn't.
however, i had an adult female p. regalis drum at the male next to her (ok, he started it
) only 3 or 4 days after a molt. i guess she would have attempted to mate, and she certainly had not yet hardened properly. so maybe they don't always know what's good for them.
as a rule, i wait at least 4 weeks after a molt before mating a female. if she refuses to eat for more than 3 weeks after the molt, i make it a few weeks longer to get her fed up properly.
