Quick Question Regarding Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches

So for some background, in a couple weeks I will be getting 3-4 male Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches. They will be staying in my room since my parents would kill me if they were anywhere else. However this means that my lamp will not stay on the entire day, just on+off. Will this bother the cockroaches general lifestyle? Or is on+off lights fine?
