Quick Question (Hopefully)

Hi

I am trying to find the name of a certain snake. I don't have a lot of information on it (this is why I want the name of it so I can do a lil research). I seen it on TV once and it was sweet. The snake is a boa or a python, found in Africa, very large snake, greyish colour and, if I remember correctly, it had an odd shaped head. Does this ring a bell to anyone?

HA! I finally found the name of it. It's the Gaboon Viper. I like that snake

OK the point of the thread was to find the name of the snake. If I knew it was called a Gaboon Viper I wouldn't have thought is was a boa or a python DUH! :wall: :wall: All I knew for sure was it was in Africa, it is grey and it had a weird head. So excuse me for not knowing the type of snake it was :wall: It looked long when I seen it on TV. Lets see, what snakes come to mind when I think of a long snake hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm it's not a milk snake, not a corn snake AH! Boas and Pythons. Sorry for not having all my facts straight on a snake I seen on TV 7 years ago.

For a guy that hates rude responses, I was shocked to find the following in my pm. I think it odd that a guy that doesnt know the difference between a gaboon viper and a boid is calling me stupid.

Does anyone get the Reptiles magazine? There's a whole article on the West African Gaboon Viper - a magnificent creature.
@ Geography Guy - you should try to pick up the October 2006 Reptiles magazine, it's got some great info on these guys along with some amazing photos!
