The secret to getting them out with a coathanger is to get it BEHIND them. That's where I have problems. I like the idea of the padding, then you could gently push it in ALL THE WAY until you feel the back of the hole, and you'll know you're BEHIND the T, not in front of her coaxing her further back in to the hole! Good luck, and PLEASE let us know how this comes out!! Very suspenseful!!

Vys,

I just had a thought: Can you get to the opposite side of the wardrobe? If so, make a small hole and push from the opposite side with a padded hanger or get a can of canned air and shoot it through the new hole. This might drive the T out the opposite side but make sure there are no other escape points first (like you havent already :D ).

You might could improve it by putting a small loop on the end before you pad it, then bend the loop so that it is perpendicular to the shaft. I don't think I really even got behind my T, I think she felt the metal on her side, didn't like it, and knew which way to go to get away from it. The point is, it worked, and she was O.K. afterward.

Thanks for your suggestions.
Just for the moment, I have no steel coathangers, and those are the only ones I'd get through that hole on the other side of the wardrobe.
I will see what I can get my hands on, one such, or canned air. I tried blowing air myself through the hole on the other side, but nothing happened.
I don't even know if she's still there.
My trap didn't work, anyway.

Don't know if she's still there..? (Uh-oh)

I'd block the hole off when I'm not able to watch over it to make sure she doesn't relocate to a new (and possibly even MORE problematic) location.

The canned air is a GREAT idea, especially if there is a small hole on the opposite side of the wardrobe. Canned air for cleaning computers comes with a tiny straw that I'm sure would fit in to that backside hole. Be careful using it though, cause it comes out EXTREMELY COLD!!!

Just use one or two EXTREMELY short bursts to drive her out from behind if you try this method and give plenty of time before trying again.

Keep us all posted, this is like drama... can't wait to hear how it turns out!! Best of luck!!
