I was just wondering, what is the fastest growing scorpion in the world? Or at least a fast growing scorpion. Also how long does it take this scorpion to reach adulthood? To die?
Sorry about all the questions, I am just interested,
Sting

A very good candidate for slowest growing (It may be, Polis' book doesn't give an exact name) would be Chiromachus ochropus.

Would take a sling from 8 to 10 years to full mature. But this is a species which you will never see in the pet trade.

Eric,

Congrats! That is a huge brood, would you happen to know if this is normal brood size for them? Or is the info regarding this sp. too scarce?

Cheers,
Ryan

Great to see Eric, very excited to see more of these guys... Unfortuantly, I'll have kids before these babies do ;). Still can't wait to see em around.

Very great, and a great example on how we don't need to ruin natural occurances of a species to get them into the hands of others.

Hi,
I don't know, I had two broods with to females : the first one made 25 very big babies, the second one made 110 very small babies. Both females aire kept in the same conditions. Perhaps it depends on the maturation, I don't know the age of my females.
Cheers
Eric
