I’be read that parabuthus transvaalicus can shoot venom out of its stinger, all the videos that I have watched that the scorpion actually does that are when something or someone is grabbing them by their tail.Do they only do that when they are grabbed or even if they are stressed?

It can spray whenever it wants to, but there's no reason to if it doesn't feel threatened and they only have a limited amount of venom to use.

Yes it will spit venom out of its tail when it is picked up or grabbed by the tail. I've noticed this tends to happen when owners move the scorpion to a new enclosure by picking it up by the tail with tweezers. Otherwise there is not much to worry about. It'll most likely sting before it decided to spray.
