So I have a B dubia starter colony aaand I want to put them in this big rubbermaid type container, but my crickets are in there. I have about a hundred crickets in there right now, and I have about 50 roaches. Can the roaches and the crickets live together? It would be way easier if they could.

They could, but I think one would out compete the other for food. And the crickets can be cannibalistic. So they may eat the roaches. I don't know for sure though.

I'd be really hesitant about doing that.

Why don't you take the crix out and freeze them. Tarantulas from sling to adult usually will take a nice thawed crixcicle. Mmmmm, good eatin :D

They are especially good for slings as you can give them a larger meal without worrying that the tables will get turned on them....

I used to breed 9 species of roach.I made my life easier by using the coco peat as substrate in my roach bins, tossing crix and superworms in with roaches, and letting them all breed in one place. They all like the moisture and substrate, the dubia nymphs will burrow, the superworms will pupate and beetles will emerge, then lay eggs and start you with your own supply, and the crix will lay eggs int he coir also and you'll always have a few pinheads to
1/4'' crix on hand.I had no problems with this method and still use it with success.Just make sure the substrate stays barely moist 1/2'' down for the crix to lay in and the superworms to live in,if you chose to add them. The whole set-up never smells and never needs cleaned,I never have mights, and it makes great compost, when you divide or refresh colonies.

if you have climbing space, then things should be alright. the only thing that you might have to worry about is that the roaches might eat the crickets when they are molting.
