my a.geniculata sealed her burrow about 20 or so days ago. i was determined to leave her alone as i know its the correct thing to do. But this morning i had a anxiety attack and i took off almost the entire "door" to the burrow (she sealed the entrance to her corkbark).luckily i came to my senses before finishing the job and digging her out.but now im worried that i disrupted her in her premolt or even in the middle of the molt,( i didnt dig up enough to actually see her). Is there a chance this leads to a bad molt or can i relax?

Relax and don’t dig up tarantulas. They do this sometimes. It’s normal

Mines longest dissappearance to date was 3months. She was about 3inches. She'll come out eventually you likely didnt hurt anything removing webbing from the entrance but just contain yourself lol

Whether she's ok in there or not, your course of action is the same. I tend to worry the same way, and I've had to train myself to assume my T is ok in there until I have concrete evidence otherwise. Best case, you are more relaxed while your T is going about her business doing T things in her burrow. Most likely alternative by quite a large margin is that if she's not ok, you can't help anyway.

Keep up making sure she has access to water if she wants it, but isn't too wet, and she'll come out when she's ready.

A dead tarantula smells really, really bad. If your fears are getting the best of you, just stick your nose near her enclosure and take a deep wiff. If there's no rancid, awful smell, you've only taken a deep breath.

Your T is likely fine whether it was molting or not, it sounds like you didn't do much damage to the burrow! It can be difficult to deal with the stress of their long disappearances, don't beat yourself up too much. Try and rest assured that they're hardy creatures, and can go months underground as easily as you or I could spend the day in our homes watching TV or doing laundry.
