Hi!
I´m a new member on this forum. My question is, how easy Pterinochilus is?
I`m novice, so is this difficult to care off or easy? What size terrarium is needed? How big spider this is?
Sorry about my bad language :D.

Before someone else says it, try using the search, there's a whole bunch of info out there

some basics about the genus Pterinochilus though

1. Very easy to care for, dry enclosures, water dish, done.
2. Adult females can reach 5-6"
3. NOT a beginner tarantula in my opinion, just because of their speed. Search youtube for 'murinus escape' or 'OBT speed' to see it for yourself

In my opinion the famous OBT is ok to deal with as long as you got the nerves to handle it.. For some reason I bought a Heteroscodra maculata (Togo Starburst Baboon, or HMAC.) as my third tarantula ever. I kind of jumped into it, but have always had steady quick hands, and am so for able (knock on wood lol) to rehouse and clean my enclosures without getting tagged. Basically, if you can get him from the packaging you got him/her from, into there new home, than you can care for this tarantula. Always treat them with the utmost respect, because the slightest mistake may cause a good amount of pain to you. But if you ask me, go for it! You're never gonna move on to the beautiful dangerous ones if you dont just jump into it.. I decided to go for the worst one out there first, thinking, "if i got the worst one first, than i could get any other T and be fine." :D Just take every saftey measure you can when feeding or rehousing them, and always tripple check that the enclosure is 100% closed when your done doing any one of these things ;)

And by handle it I mean deal with it! Not physically handling it at all lol

remember every individual is different, my 2 1/2 in OBT is a wuss and would rather run and hide. but that may change as it grows

I thought the OBT was going to be to fast/defensive for me too. I got one about two weeks ago, and she is very reclusive, she never comes out during the day. I can get inside her tank and do maintenance without her trying to bite, she doesn't even show a threat signal. They are fast, but you usually won't see their speed unless you are feeding them or poking at them(which I don't do).
