Pronunciation of scientific names
Here are a couple links on pronunciation and meaning of scientific names from ATS. The first is a key to pronunciation and the second explains the meaning:
http://www.atshq.org/articles/beechwp1.html
http://www.atshq.org/articles/beechwp2.html
I've heard people pronounce Pterinochilus (peter-in-oh-chilus) so I thought this might help those of you who are unsure of the correct pronunciation of the scientific names and also those who might be curious of the meaning. I noticed some names have been changed since this post but still pretty accurate.
