Pronunciation of scientific names

Here are a couple links on pronunciation and meaning of scientific names from ATS. The first is a key to pronunciation and the second explains the meaning:

I've heard people pronounce Pterinochilus (peter-in-oh-chilus) so I thought this might help those of you who are unsure of the correct pronunciation of the scientific names and also those who might be curious of the meaning. I noticed some names have been changed since this post but still pretty accurate.

Thanks for posting this. I've been meaning to put this up on my site.
Ditto. Thanks for posting. I was thinking of posting something similar, but didn't have nearly as good of links to reference. It's odd that we use scientific names so often on these forums, but when we actually talk to others in the hobby, so many of us mispronounce them.

I like the name meanings. G. pulchra is definitely "beautiful!"

No problem... I thought it would be a good reference for all of us.
