Problems with prey

So I have been keeping a wild captured Scutigera Coleoptrata for a while and yesterday I dumped some crickets in its terrarium and didn't know it was about to molt and today I discovered the horror show that it was dismembered by the crickets...

It's really sad since I have been keeping it for quite awhile...

what's the best way to offer it prey along with prey for tarantulas and scorpions (I raise these as well) so that they won't be attacked by the prey during molt? sometimes I can't quite tell if they are gonna molt and they might stay still for more than a week and molt the night right before I think it's fine to feed them(then get eaten).

Thank you.

That is when they have reached a good size, when they are just slings they will molt more frequently, slowing as they age. The definitely like to take their time moulting though, so be mindful of that when you start feeding again.

Before you start feeding process, observe, watch what / how your centipede / tarantula / scorpion are doing.

Do not just dump several feeder insects right away and be on your way, but simply toss one in, and see if it gets eaten or not. If it get eaten, then try to toss in another, if not take it out right away and try it some other time.

what's the best way to offer it prey
Above method.

Yeah one at a time is my method, I only offer two if the first one gets eaten.
