we have 3 whip scorpions, and have had them for about 7 months now.
pretty sure we watched courtship and the deposition of 2 spermataphores. didnt see them being taken up by any of the whipscorpions.
one of the whipscorpions is now very fat, and has no whips - been fat for about a month now. we think it may be pregnant, but not sure
any ideas?
have found info really hard to find about them
thanks

If she is pregnant, soon you will see under her abdomen a sac containing the eggs. This sac is flush with her body, so you may not notice it until you get a good look at her underside.

thanks very much
so, do the males look different to the females? (thinner?). if she is pregnant, how long till she produces a sack? and how long till that hatches?
thanks again

Males of many species have extremely long pedipalps compred to the females. This is very obvious with Damon sp.

When mine reproduced, I didn't even notice the sac, one day one of the females just had a bunch of babies on her back!
