I don't have advice to offer, but your title reminded me of the time my mother asked a lady how far along she was, to which the lady replied she wasn't... I don't think I've ever felt that level of embarrassment since, and I was 12. 🤣

On topic, when was the last time they molted?

Never in my care so im curious. Asian is very skittish and defensive try not to check her that much and fat tail could care less if I check on her

Your 'Asian forest scorpion' is actually an emperor! Pandinus imperator. It is actually still a subadult, as indicated by the pale telson (stinger), so it is in premolt. Scorpions can only get gravid when they're adult (after their final molt). The substrate should be more moist though. It should look dark throughout, not just the top layer. Best achieved by pouring some water directly into the substrate and let it soak up.

The Androctonus is hard to tell.

You don't have to stress her. Pour a cup of water into a corner or two and the substrate will soak it up evenly. Way more effective than spraying one specific spot and only getting the surface wet.

Pictures are fine, it's just that you can't really tell the difference between a fat or gravid scorpion unless they're far enough along that you can see the embryos through the pleural membrane.

Its a lot easier with desert barks didn't know if there was anyone that could be 100% about it
