Thought I ask here if its possible to identify the subspiecie of my Buthus occitanus. I have been comparing it with pictures on the web and it looks like it might be a Buthus occitanus israelis. Anyone have other sugesstions?

I think that is a fair assumption that it is B.o.israelis based on your pic and what I have seen on the Scorpion Files web site.

Is your scorpion a juvenile? It looks either freshly molted or like it might be a sub-adult.

It's probably a sub-adult. It have not moulted since I bought it, but it's pretty fresh anyway. Realy a interesting species of scorpion and often active during night, a good digger...
