Just a question for all the Pokie experts-

I came across a document proposing to place the Poecilotheria genus on CITES II. It says that P. pococki is synonymous with P. regalis, but wasn't pococki found in Sri Lanka?

P. pococki are considered a valid species

mf pococki Charpentier, 1996....................Sri Lanka
P. p. Charpentier, 1996c: 23, f. 1-19 (Dmf).

I have never heard that regalis would be synonym with pococki.

I'm sorry but as far as I know P. pococki was proposed some time ago to be synonymized with P. smithi Kirk, 1996 and not P. regalis...
But as far as Lelle cite the entry from WSC it is an valid species...

Not Becky...
The point You've told is like we have the situation before, several years ago.
Nowadays it has a valid species taxon status P. pococki.
