Plings

I think instead of "pedelings" or "little pedes" or "baby pedes", we should simply start calling them "plings"...

Spiderling = "sling"
Pedeling = "pling"

Makes perfect sense to me, anyway...

I think 4 officially makes a quorum...

Seriously... someone started calling them "slings" sometime.... eventually it caught on. We all just need to start calling baby pedes "plings" and in another 10 years or so, it will be standard vernacular.

I will put in for the name registration at the Official Office of Slang for Invertebrate Hobbyists.

I have to dissent - it may be 3 extra letters to type but I like the sound of pedeling myself. A pling is the sound a BB makes going through a soda can, not a baby centipede

Actually, that's "plink" ... and there's several hundred 15-year old pop cans in landfills somewhere that will attest to my firsthand knowledge.
