Well, first off, check all drawers and under them, clean everything out, move everything and stay contained in one room while you do this.

Block off any escapes like heating ducts and the space under your door if there is any gap.

Others may have other tips!

I lost a snake once and found it - stuck to a rat trap. Not so much fun to try and peel a snake off adhesive one mm at a time. She was ok though. :)

(and WOW did I learn my lesson about secure lids - secure by snake definition is much different than the tarantula version.)

Also, try doublesided sticky tape.

Some might also suggest placing food/heat/water in the centre of the room.

If you don't find him soon then I would let your whole place cool down quite a bit if possible. Then you can put some sort of heat source in the middle of the room and at night you might be able to spot him near the heat. Maybe put a towel or something on the floor for it to take residence in.

Good luck,

-Andy

Look in your washing machine, dryer, and any other electrical appliance that gets warm.

Before I found the ideal locking cage tops for my corn, he was NOTORIOUS for escaping... and my cat would help on occasion cuz she likes the "pretty orange ribbon"
I found him in several places...

-the closet
-at the bottom of the waste basket
-the clothes bin
-behind the toilet... that was eeerie {D
-under the sofa, in the lining
-my bed

The first three were the more common places. He usually escaped just before it was time to feed him and within a week, if I hadn't already found him, he was making his rounds at night for food search.

I'd say, keep a look out for him at night. When he's hungry, he'll come looking.

Good Luck!

Don't give up yet, snakes don't magically dissapear into thin air, it's there!! Check every single thing once more VERY carefully, check in your closet, check shoes, boxes, behind and underneath the bed, behind the tv, in all drawers, in the bathroom, in the washing or drying machine, under the microwave and under the fridge, under couches etc... since it's so thin it could've easily slipped under the dish washing machine for example, just grab a flashlight and keep searching every corner and every hole that's dark. Also ask your roommate, girlfriend, parents whoever lives with you to see if they can help you locate it, maybe you're overlooking  lol everytime i'm going berserk trying to find a specific thing in my house i ask my girl and she always finds it and makes me look like an idiot saying "but baby it's right here, see right where you left it, you need some glasses":8o LOL so it's always better to have more eyes that can help you find it. Everyone here gave excellent tips and ideas to lure it from wherever its hiding, have you already tried any yet? The links Evil Cheshire and Thoth posted were very helpful, especially the cornstarch idea or the classic pinky one.. Hmm if not most likely after it sheds, it's gonna come out looking for food and you'll see it;) It's a good thing you have a non venomous snake though lol trust me you really don't want to go through the hell of having to evacuate your apt for a week until you find it and discover it had made a new home behind the water heater:wall: Lesson learned:rolleyes: , after that i used security locks and never had a prob with dangerous escapes. Good luck, hope you find it soon though:)

Yeah don't give up yet! Lay some hides around especially with moisture in them. Many snakes at this time of year they don't respond to heat and will search out cool spots anyway (they know it hibernation time). As long as he doesn't dehydrate it can live for months at those temps. I've known many people to have snakes go missing for a couple of months and then show their faces again. The main thing is to let it have access to water so it doesn't die of dehydration.
Check the clothes in your closet too. I had a 2' anaconda escape and wound up in a coat pocket hanging in the closet. No idea how it managed to get there but that's where I found it.
