I thought I'd ruined my peppered roaches' (Archimandrita tesselata) chances at breeding through some stupid mistakes I made when they turned adult.
Today I lifted out their food dish, did a double take at what I found under it, and thought 'Odd... how did a woodlouse get in there?'
It took me a second or two to realise. :D

They're keen burrowers, so I guess a cleanout is the best way to count 'em all. A doubly good idea since I also noticed a couple of tiny flies 'scuttling' about. Looks like the roaches might get some woodlice put in with them after all.

Congrats! I had a few dubias die off just to find they left behind some babies. It was a nice suprise.

Holy crap! Someone replied... :}

The same thing happened with some hissers I had, way back, as happened with your dubias. Great when it happens. :)

On the peppered roaches: after a careful cleanout...
