Wow, I actually caught my H. aureopilosum s'ling out and about today. I think that this is the first time since I rehoused him so that he could burrow. It is also the first time that I have seen him post molt, as he dumped his exivum outside his burrow a couple of weeks ago. So of course I had to take pictures=D:

Hey! This guy really hasn't lived up to the Haplo reputation yet. When it feels threatened, it just darts down into its burrow -- fast as lightning!

Great pics! It looks sort of like H.minax! Very pretty!! I love the abdomen! As slings they are shy, how bug is yours?

That abdomen looks remarkably alike with the abdomen of my young P. regalis and P. rufilata. Just an observation...:) Nice spider!

Nice looking Haplo. I am quite amazed at how much a sling's coloring resembles the adult male in this species. Mine I got as an adult female, and it's almost all brown/black with a touch of golden yellow to it.
