I could find more instances if you'd like but if you search obt humidity that's the first thing that pops up
Don't believe what you read on reddit. This site has by far the most correct info on keeping T's.

I'm planning on getting a 1.5 inch p. Murinus sling
Congrats.

I was wondering if they tolerate plants/a little wet substrate around the plants.
I would say no. You want to keep it dry. If you are planning to put plants for esthetic wise, it will not last long due to heavy webbing over it quickly.

I plan on making a drainage layer and putting in springtails
Again, no need of drainage because you want to keep it dry. Thus springtails won’t last long.

I've heard you can just provide a water dish for them and they're fine but I haven't heard if they really dislike humidity.
All you ever need are:

1. Deep substrate for digging purpose
2. And a water dish

There is no need of concerning humidity at all. In fact, t’s pretty much irrelevant in my opinion, since you want to keep it dry.

Reddit is probably the single worst source of husbandry information for tarantulas that exists on the internet.

Follow-up question for you: what tarantulas do you currently keep? How long have you kept them?

P. murinus are very fast, defensive tarantulas, not really appropriate for someone who is inexperienced with tarantulas.

Im face palming so hard i may have to get my hand surgically removed from my face.

OBTs require dry, like the vast majority of baboons. They have NO humidity requirements....in fact, NO t has specific humidity requirements....not one.
