Pisauridae sp. ID

    locality: mid-west Tennessee
    To me it looks almost like D. vittatus but it doesn't have the black mark on it's carapace.

    Looks to be some sort of mature male Dolomedes.

    I think it's actually female. it don't have any bulbs, and I can see what looks to be a flap. she's also about 4". I forgot to mention that.

    Ah. Well in that case you would be right. In the photo it looks like there’s punching bags.

    I think that’s just the mealworm she was eating that you’re seeing lol. Here’s a pic of her from the front. It’s not the best photo of her, but you can kinda see.
