I got a bird eater tarantula Brazilian salmon pink. And I am wondering how long will it take for a half inch sling to molt and fangs to harden. Mine burrowed it's self and I can't see it, so idk wether to dig her out or just leav here

It'll molt when it's ready, no one will be able to tell. As for feeding after a molt, a sling should be good after a week.

The only time you should dig a tarantula out is to rehouse it because the current enclosure is unsuitable.

You can feed it as soon as you notice the fangs turning black, this means they have hardened after the molt.

DO NOT dig up your T, DO NOT touch your T during the molt or after, and DO NOT introduce live prey until you have confirmed it has hardened.

When it's ready. Feed when fangs are black otherwise bad things can happen.

Probably under an hour to molt and a week to harden , use the search 🔍 function labeled as a magnifying glass. That pics not clear enough for me to make out anything lol 😆 :pics: :jimlad:

You have a Lasiodora parahybana. Pink salmon is a fish. They grow fast, you just need to have a little patience.

Perfect that's what I wanted to know I seen a video where it said that it is bad if I'm not able to see the sling haha that's why I had to ask, thank you for your helpful tips.

burrowed spider want to be left alone

give it time and once it comes back out in a few days to a few months, only then, offer it food again
