Sexed female I bought from Tarantulacanada a couple weeks ago. Apparently max size. Doesn't appear to have grown any with this last molt either. Was hoping to get an ID on it. Was labelled sp hispaniolae. But was assured that was not the correct label.

Just had to make sure, ha ha, as the molt looked really realistic.
It looks a lot like what I've seen from Phrynus decoratus juveniles, but if this is already an adult then it shouldn't have those blue colors I believe.

Thanks,

That's not P. decoratus (best indicator - large specimens do not have any red color on their pedipalps).
I would go with what's written on the label from TC.

Edit: Found a photo of one of my P. decoratus molts.

I would. But Amanda specifically told me it was mislabeled and they were working on properly iding it.

Hi,
Martin got many cuban and domrep species from me. This look pretty much like a hispaniolae from DomRep. Not so colorful than the cuban ones.
Some lesser Antillen phrynids are also possible. Post a pix of the living specimen once it is complety dry and the ceretogument is hardened.

That's what it was first labelled as. Amanda says they found out for sure it wasn't that however.

Don't know exactly what that is, but considering its back to eating, I assume it's hardened back up. I'll try to get some pictures today.
