Pests?

I will try to get some pics of these tiny little guys soon. but ive noticed on some old food, and dead millipedes, these tiny white mite looking creatures. They are slow moving and cover like an entire blocks of food after it sits for a few days. i also have a small container of surinam roaches and those little white things are all in the substrate. What are they and where do they come from? Are they harmful? can i get rid of them? i also have a gnat problem... i put vaseline all around the edge of the box of millis who had the gnats and i dont see them so much.

One more thing too, springtails. theyre in my florida ivories box. Are they harmful or just annoying? Will isopods help remedy any of these problems?
