Peoples' thoughts on Lasiodora

I'm relatively new to this hobby so I'm trying not to get in too deep too quickly. All my current spiders are pretty mellow New World-ers (B. vagans, A. avicularia, and the obligatory G. rosea). I'd like to get some species of Lasiodora, but I'm curious what peoples' experience has been with Lasiodora, and if it makes sense for me (a relative newbie) to get such a colossus. Any feedback, thoughts, ideas, concerns, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Just by the way you are posting, I wouldnt see ANY problem for you to get a Parahybana.
They are great eaters, fast growers, very entertaining T's to have and they are quite hardy :).

Go for it, just remmember the hairs and forget about the handling, at least till you know what kind of temperament she has :).
